By using the Minecraft console commands you can have more control over the game, they are like tricks that allow us to modify the game mode, create command blocks, use effects and items.
Today you will learn all the main and secondary commands for Minecraft, they are all here, we did not leave one out. They will be used for Minecraft Java Edition in versions 1.14 or 1.15.2.
You can also use them in previous versions, so this list of commands is effective in Pocket Edition as well as in Bedrock.
How to use Minecraft console commands
- First go to the starting options.
- Now activate the option that says “Allow cheats”
- Press the “C” key or the “T” key while playing to activate the chat box.
- Copy the code in the command bar.
- To finish press Enter.

/ op [Player name] | You will give a player the status of operator |
/ deop [Player name] | You will remove the operator status from a player |
/ list [uuids] | It will show you a list with all the connected players. [uuids] is optional, but it will also show you the UUIDs |
/ pardon [Player name] | Will remove the expulsion from the indicated player |
/ pardon-ip [Player’s IP address] | Will remove the expulsion of a player indicating his IP address |
/ stop | Will shut down the server |

These are exclusive commands for Bedrock Edition and Java Edition. You will not be able to run them in versions 1.14 and 1.15.2.

/ instantmine | It will take just one hit to destroy blocks and extract materials |
/ freeze | You will paralyze all creatures |
/ falldamage | Enable or disable fall damage |
/ firedamage | Turn fire damage on or off |
/ waterdamage | Enable or disable water damage |
/ superheat | You will transform all the items into their fused versions |
/ instantplant | Planted seeds will grow instantly |
/ dropstore | You will store all the items in your inventory in a trunk that appears next to you |
/ itemdamage | Prevents items and weapons from taking damage or wearing out |
/ duplicate | You will copy the equipped item and place it before you |
/ xp [amount] [Player name] | You will grant the indicated amount of experience to the corresponding player |
These are useful abbreviations that you can use instead of the player’s name so as not to write their full users, so you can use the commands quickly, like a pro:
- @p : closest player.
- @r : random player.
- @a : all players.
- @e : all entities.
- @s : entity that executes this command.
